Rosemary is traditionally used in the treatment of exhaustion, weakness, jet lag, chills, rheumatism, arthritis, breast pain, cysts, scalp problems, headaches, colds, flu, and Alzheimer’s.

Rosemary hydrosol offers all the wonderful water soluble polyphenols, and is good for oily skin. The ursolic acid creates a light film on your skin or hair, offering extra moisturizing.

Use Rosemary hydrosol internally and it stimulates the liver and gall bladder and aids digestion of fatty foods.

Rosemary is known to be good for the hair and scalp. Use Rosemary hydrosol as a rinse to condition hair and fight dandruff. Rinsing with a rosemary hydrosol on a regular basis is thought to encourage growth and may even restore color in some cases. Combine with a few drops of lavender essential oil for best results.

Rosemary poultices and compresses are often applied to achy joints and sore muscles to relieve pain and speed healing. For best results, alternate hot and cold applications.

What is a hydrosol?
A hydrosol is the water that is left over when plants are steam-distilled to release their essential oils. Hydrosols contain traces of the essential oil as well as other plant components that are only water-soluble. This makes hydrosols very special, a unique product that can’t be manufactured synthetically. Hydrosols can be used 100% pure, as a face mist, pillow mist, added to skin care products (replacing distilled water), room refresher …. the possibilities are endless. You can even drink hydrosols (diluted) or add it to your cooking.

Hydrosols contain the same plant properties as the essential oil, so can be used for the same applications.

Cautions:

Our hydrosols do not contain preservatives so should be treated as a perishable product. Keep refrigerated to lengthen shelf life. Shelf life varies between 1-2 years.

Store hydrosols away from direct sunlight in amber or dark bottles.

Maintain the integrity of your hydrosols by not allowing unsterilized items like your fingers, cotton balls or other items to come into direct contact with the hydrosols you are storing.
